Our Core Programs
Inner Compass: Finding Your True North
(Class schedule: Jan 5 – May 4, Mondays 6pm – 8pm)
Ages: 9+ Price: $750 + HST
It’s tougher than ever for a kid to know who they are, and where they fit, when society is overloaded with information and opinions. And for kids who struggle with their self-worth, and how to fit in with their peers, how do they find their like-minded people…their “tribe”?
Inner Compass is where kids can learn to connect with themselves and others on a deeper level. It’s where their people are. Together, we embark on a journey of self-discovery, exploring values, passions, and purpose in a supportive and welcoming environment, within an artistic framework. The sense of community that kids gain in this class is invaluable–to themselves and to each other.
Through guided exercises, thoughtful discussions, and shared experiences, they gain clarity on what truly matters to them. This isn’t just about individual reflection; it’s about building meaningful peer connections and fostering a strong sense of belonging. They’ll have the chance to share insights, listen to diverse perspectives, and realize they are not alone in their journey of growth.
Inner Compass is for those seeking to:
- Strengthen self-awareness
- Find their personal direction
- Create meaningful, authentic connections with kindred spirits
- Learn to thrive in a supportive community
Come find your true north with us, and discover the strength that comes from knowing yourself and being truly seen by others.
HEALING HEARTS
(Class schedule: Jan 10 – May 16, Saturdays 10 am – 1 pm)
Ages: 9+ Price: $950 + HST
The Healing Hearts program focuses on performing heartfelt, self-written shows that allow the students to explore themes and emotions that either resonate with them personally or that they’ve observed in the world around them.
This term, Theatre Kids is proud to present Unmasked. Through music, movement, and storytelling, Unmasked explores the masks we wear to survive, belong, and be “okay,” and what happens when we find the courage to set them down. Created and performed by young artists in a safe, supportive environment, this production gives voice to real feelings often kept hidden — anxiety, pressure, identity, grief, resilience, and hope.
This is more than a show. It is an offering to our community — a shared experience that opens conversation, reduces stigma, and reminds us that none of us are alone behind the mask.
In alignment with the Canadian Mental Health Association’s 2026 theme, Unmasking Mental Health, come witness the bravery of young performers choosing authenticity, and join us as we unmask mental health together.

VOLUNTEER BACKSTAGE
Bringing The Vision to Life
Great theatre doesn’t just happen under the lights. Volunteering backstage is your invitation to be part of something meaningful. Whether your strengths are artistic, technical, organizational, or you just love being where the magic happens, we need you. Props. Sets. Costumes. Lighting. Sound. Stage management. Planning. Problem-solving. Extra hands and big hearts!
You don’t need theatre experience. You need curiosity, care, and a willingness to show up.
When you help backstage, you’re not just supporting a show — you’re creating a safe, vibrant space where young artists can take risks, find their voices, and shine.
This is community in motion.
This is creativity with purpose.
This is how the magic gets made.
Be part of it!
